We will be presenting on "Engaging with Girls in STEMM" at the inaugural National Symposium Sept 13-14, 2016 in Melbourne.
The goal of this meeting is to connect women in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine (STEMM) across sectors and disciplines, share information about best practices and policies, as well as ground-breaking initiatives that can provide women in STEMM the best environment to lead and excel. We will also introduce a wide range of programs for girls interested in STEMM. Women in STEMM in industry, education, research, management, academia, government, administration, publishing and communication are invited to participate. Men who champion change and those who want to see equity and equality in the workplace are also encouraged to attend.
In less than two years Women in Science AUSTRALIA has grown into a nationally recognised association for women in STEMM. With almost 10,000 members, our over-arching goal is to connect women in STEMM regardless of their discipline and profession. The momentum this has stimulated is exciting and our International Women’s Day event in March this year was a great success. Our website and social media profiles are our primary engagement platform and through these we connect with extraordinary people – hearing their stories, ideas and opinions, and networking like never before.
Join us at this great conference!
