Did you know that we have clocked up 100 000 hours of entrepreneurship in the past decade with more than 14 000 students and across 420 unique schools with more than 1000 industry mentors!
Techgirls is about the economic empowerment of women. We work to give young people the skills and knowledge they need to navigate the STEM world and beyond, having all they need to be successful. We are about young people creating technology for good – often for other young people, and coding with a purpose.

The research tells us that girls don’t want to code for coding’s sake. At Techgirls, teams solve a problem in their local community that they care about and they align it with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Ideally they have the tools to solve a problem they care about.
We help teachers confidently deliver the Australian National Digital Technologies Curriculum – our program helps you tick off 70% of the curriculum, creating content that students can connect with. Teachers get relevant professional development in STEM to create a digitally literate student community, engaging in conversations of cyber security, digital inclusion and individual wellbeing

In Techgirls, girls often find a new friendship group based on similar ideas, and they work together to lead successful projects solving problems they care about in their local community. Having a mentor to guide students can make all the difference.
Bigger picture, we are closing the gap on women in STEM. So often in school, students are given a problem to solve. At Techgirls, teams do design thinking to settle on a problem they all care about, and are committed to solving. We know that teachers often lack the skills and confidence to deliver the digital technologies curriculum, we are here to help. We provide a ‘STEM entrepreneurship in a box’ program to get you started today!
