Get your “working with children” check
All Australian States and Territories have introduced legislation that requires all adults working with children to complete the relevant Working with Children (WWC or equivalent) check for their State/Territory. This process must be completed before commencing mentoring in the Techgirls Competition. In most cases, registration is free as mentors are considered to be volunteers of the Tech Girls Movement Foundation.
From 2020 all New Zealand mentors will need to undergo Police Vetting in line with the Vulnerable Children’s Act.
